Real material gives us something real to say.
Depending on your goals, lessons may use an article, podcast, essay, short story, interview, professional text, or another piece of material chosen for you. We use it as a starting point for sustained conversation, vocabulary development, pronunciation and grammar work, and more precise expression.
The goal is not to “cover” material mechanically. The material creates a context in which useful language can emerge naturally.
Conversation & Fluency
Longer, more natural conversations with focused feedback on vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and phrasing.
Writing & Academic English
Work on organization, argument, style, grammar, and clarity for academic, professional, or personal writing.
Literature & Cultural Discussion
Use stories, essays, music, art, history, and cultural topics to develop nuanced vocabulary and expression.
Advanced English Development
Refine register, idiomatic language, precision, and the ability to discuss difficult or abstract ideas.
A good fit
These lessons work especially well for curious intermediate and advanced learners who want more than textbook exercises and who enjoy talking about ideas, culture, professional life, or the world around them.
